Home Tour Part xix – Breakfast Nook

Simply can I be even more than honest? Nosotros're getting the "bug," and I've noticed the talk of "moving" popping up in our conversations more and more lately. I actually really really want to live in a pocket-sized abode once again. Four houses ago, we lived in a small craftsman style home, and I vicious in love with it. No matter what room we were in, I even so felt connected to other family members because they were close by. The bigger the house, the more than space family members have to run and hide. At present don't get me wrong, I LOVE our home now. Just the idea of living in a modest dwelling house again actually tickles my fancy.

So nosotros shall meet. Yous never know what will happen around here. Only no affair what, a goal I've had was to get this breakfast nook DONE. Information technology took me so long to get it to a point of "done" considering we were using a pub mode table for so long here in this space, and it was on it'south last leg… literally.
It had seen ameliorate days, and I had ever wanted a table similar the 1 we take now. But getting rid of a dining table, simply to go rid of it…seemed silly. So we waited and waited and then one day, decided it was time.

The Table

I constitute this table, and the tall end chairs at World Marketplace HERE.

I absolutely love it. When it arrived, nosotros had to fastened the legs to the table, merely that was information technology! It'southward sturdy and I smashing for the kids to sit down/consume at, because it has a "worn" expect to it, so it's forgiving if something happens cosmetically, to it.

Metallic Tub Chairs

I bought the metal tub chairs from Target Hither,  and they work perfectly with this table. A great height, and they slide in merely enough to get out of the way, simply still stick out to show side chairs.

Centerpiece

I couldn't decide which centerpiece to have on the tabular array when I took the photos of the breakfast nook, because I change this decor out at least in one case a month. I'm a sucker for seasonal flowers in a white pitcher, or incorporating holiday decor in this space. Merely I admire how white cotton stems really assistance popular the other white accents in the room, so I chose this one for now!

DIY Gather Sign

I stared at the infinite betwixt the two windows for the four years that we've lived here. I love having this gold silverware on brandish to add a trivial pop of golden to any space. Y'all tin can notice my gilded silverware hither.  I've stacked my white dinner plates from Target, along with fabric napkins that match whatever season we're in.
